Peaceful Intuition
Birth Collaborative
We bring different perspectives, skills, and lived experiences to our practice, our partnership, and your birth room, but we are united by a shared belief in the power and purpose of this work. Our passion is to improve your maternal experience by providing compassionate, evidence-based, and intuitive support throughout your journey, honoring your choices, your voice, and the unfolding of your unique birth story.
LeShanta Baker is a compassionate birth worker, maternal-child health nurse, childbirth educator, and holistic wellness guide who blends clinical expertise, movement-based support, and deep self-awareness practices to help families navigate pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and life transitions with confidence and peace. Her work is rooted in the belief that birth is not only the delivery of a baby, but also the unfolding and evolution of self, revealing new layers of who we are becoming.
LeShanta Baker
With a professional background in maternal-child health, childbirth education, case management, and perinatal support, LeShanta brings both evidence-based education and intuitive, whole-person care to every family she serves. Having worked and trained in over 20 hospitals across the United States, she has developed a unique understanding of the varying cultures, practices, and approaches to maternity care across different regions and healthcare systems. This experience allows her to help families confidently navigate both hospital-based birth and holistic birth preparation with clarity, advocacy, and informed decision-making.
As a certified Dancing For Birth™ Instructor, Stretching and Flexibility Coach, and holistic birth support professional, she integrates movement, breathwork, body awareness, labor preparation, and emotional grounding into her approach. Her work helps clients prepare physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for birth while also supporting them through the larger transitions of identity, motherhood, and personal evolution.
LeShanta is the founder of Peaceful Motives, where she supports women and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and life’s many transitions by helping them move through every stage with a more peaceful mind. Her work extends beyond traditional birth preparation, focusing on self-awareness, nervous system regulation, and holistic preparation for the many forms of labor life requires. Through private coaching, birth education, movement classes, and community-centered support, she helps families feel empowered, informed, and deeply connected to themselves throughout their journey.

As a mother of four, Ameenah has personally experienced birth in home, birthing center, and hospital settings, giving her a unique and deeply personal understanding of the many paths birth can take. She has served as a doula for several years, supporting families with calm guidance, advocacy, and individualized care that honors both evidence-based practice and intuitive connection.
Her work extends far beyond the bedside. Through philanthropy and global maternal health initiatives, Ameenah has contributed to birth work in Ghana by educating, supporting, and creating opportunities for U.S. birth workers to serve in rural communities, helping reconnect cultural birth wisdom while expanding access to compassionate care. Her passion for service, education, and restoring culturally connected birth experiences makes her an invaluable part of the Peaceful Motives birth support team.
