Preparing for a “Low Intervention” Hospital Birth

Hospital births can be empowering, sacred, and safe. Yet too often families rely only on a birth plan to guide them. Birth plans are important, but they are essentially a wish list: preferences for how you would like things to unfold in a perfect world.

A birth preparation plan is different. It is about what you will do — the practices, strategies, and mindset shifts that support your body and baby through the process of labor and birth. It is about moving from being someone birth happens to, into being an active participant in your experience.

Co-hosted with Beloved Yoga Sanctuary!

This will not be your average “what to expect” childbirth prep class.

Instead, this immersive 2-hour masterclass (90 minutes of teaching plus an optional 30-minute Q&A circle) is designed to help you:

Understand the full spectrum of the birth process: physical, emotional, and energetic stages, and how they unfold.
Create your birth preparation plan: concrete steps you can take before entering the hospital and during labor to facilitate progress and reduce unnecessary interventions.
Practice evidence-based techniques that enhance your body’s physiology while honoring sacred wisdom that grounds, centers, and connects you to your inner rhythm.
Build confidence in yourself and your preparation so you feel informed, powerful, and aligned, not passive or overwhelmed.

💡 While this class is absolutely beneficial if you are already in your third trimester, it is not meant to be “last minute” preparation. In fact, it is encouraged that you take this course as soon as you discover you are pregnant. The sooner you understand what is within your control, the more time you have to practice and prepare.

You will leave this session with the beginnings of a birth preparation plan that is uniquely yours — practical tools, mindful practices, and a clear sense of how to stay actively engaged throughout your birth journey.

This class is for you if you are:

  • Pregnant and planning a hospital birth

  • Ready to go beyond a “wish list” birth plan and prepare with tools you can use in the moment

  • Interested in blending evidence-based strategies with movement, mindfulness, and sacred wisdom
